Baby monitoring today means much more than it used to. Now, fewer parents settle for the simple and crude listening devices of the past, and instead are opting for the cutting edge, high resolution cameras that receive and transmit sound, and capture video at night with infrared LEDs.

Among the latest and greatest baby monitoring systems on the market today, we at HGT are particularly fond of the new 2013 Samsung SEW-3037W Wireless Pan Tilt Video Baby Monitor with Infrared Night Vision and Zoom.

The Samsung SEW-3037W is a step up from its very popular 3036WN predecessor model.  The SEW-3037W differs mainly in using an improved, tilt/pan camera with a 2x zoom, and by reportedly adding an additional 100 feet to its digital signal, for a total of 900-feet of transmission distance.

The new tilt/pan camera with 2x zoom is a definite bonus compared to the fixed-position camera used in the previous model.  As a result, you do not need to keep manually repositioning the camera when it’s situated close to your baby – and your baby moves across the bed or crib.

Of course, the SEW-3037W comes with all of the other features that we liked about the 3036WN, including its high-res 3.5” color LCD screen that delivers surprisingly crisp video; it’s two-way talk feature that allows easy communication with your child; the unit’s pure digital signal, which avoids common household interference; it’s LED sound indicator that lets you monitor sound visually when you’re in a loud room; the very cool “VOX” standby feature to save battery life when your baby is sound asleep; it’s solid infrared night vision technology; and its expandability to handle up to 4 cameras.

Overall, this is a very good baby monitor that improves upon Samsung’s already successful SEW-3036WN version.  And, although it is slightly pricier than its predecessor, we think that the Samsung SEW-3037W Wireless Pan Tilt Video Baby Monitor with Infrared Night Vision and Zoom is easily worth the extra cost, particularly given the significantly better tilt/pan camera and zoom that comes with this 2013 model.  Click Here For The Lowest Prices & Secure Shipping!
